For being a sophomore in college and being in a town where I have never lived in, I usually went home 3 hours away to have my car looked at. Well, my car started acting funny when I would put it in reverse and acted like it was dying when I would go to put it in drive. I took it to a shop in Jackson where they told me it was my transmission and said they would've been happy to replace it for $2,000. Hesitant, I decided to not go with that option.. It only did this a couple of times so I was going to take it home on my fall break. Unfortunately, my car had started having this burning smell and it freaked me out. I called Boyd's after hearing how wonderful they are and they told me to come anytime. Well my car died and after calling a tow truck (with the driver having the exact problem like mine and told me what it was), I made it to Boyd's. Sure enough, they were quick and provided me with what was wrong with my car. Some motor mounts were broken, valve gaskets (that's what the burning smell was) were leaking, my spark plugs were bad, and the transmission needed to be flushed. Compared to $2,000 for a new transmission (which I didn't even need) it was only a 1/4 of the price. I recommend Boyd's! They are very friendly and they will definitely have me as a returning costumer!
Jason and Brandon provided the absolute "BEST" customer service that I have experienced in a very very long time. In addition to their professionalism, they actually looked out for our best interest. My husband and both thought we were getting ready to kiss our 2001 Dodge Dakota good-bye. Instead, Jason phoned to inform me that his mechanic conducted research to learn that when my husband originally purchased the alternator, he had also purchased a lifetime warranty; therefore, the gentlemen drove to Jackson which is more than a 50 mile drive and exchanged the part saving us more than half the original cost of what was initially quoted! What Jason did not know was that "HE" had answered my prayers. So, if anyone who lives near or can drive their vehicle to this small but professionally, genuinely, expert service mechanics, I would encourage you to utilize their services.
